One Minute After You Die

Marie’s  sister is terminally ill.  She told me she’s an atheist and asked me to pray that she wouldn’t have much pain before she dies.

I told her I’d be glad to pray for her not to have pain now.  “But if she’s an atheist, she may be looking at much more pain in the next life.  You see, when we die, it’s only our body that dies.  Our soul will continue to live on forever.  This current life is a test. Where we live in the next life is determined in this life.

“There is a book I’d love to share with you.  It’s entitled, One Minute After You Die, by Erwin W. LutzerIt explains that one minute after you die you will either be enjoying a personal welcome from Christ, or catching your first glimpse of gloom as you have never known it.  Either way, your future will be irrevocably fixed and eternally unchangeable.

“Your sister won’t always be an atheist, Marie.  Once she dies she will be more alive than ever before.”  She listened.

The next day I took her the book, One Minute After You Die, so she can read it herself.  I also gave her the booklet, Would You Like to Know God Personally? by Dr. Bill Bright, so she can read it to her sister.  Please pray for Marie and her sister.

  • For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.   John 3:16-18

About Kathleen

God delights in working through His people as they submit to Him. Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone (Mark 16:15). No matter where we live on this planet, people are separated from God because of sin. We ALL need a Savior, and there’s only ONE. It brings me great joy to share Christ with the lost and lonely. Over the years I’ve learned a great deal while facilitating Bible studies. I’ve found myself on college and university campuses, the beach, the streets, the hospital, the jail and the juvenile facility for incarcerated teens sharing God’s message of love. I also serve as an online missionary with Global Media Outreach. I’ve seen countless lives transformed when people turn away from sin and turn to Jesus. The changes God makes are real and lasting. These are some of my experiences. NOTE: My stories have been altered, removing any and all identifying factors. This includes names and other particulars in order to protect confidentiality and anonymity.
