Demonic Scream

A young father and son walked near our Bible table at the beach.  The child was perhaps 3-years-old.  The father was covered with tattoos and body piercings. Both of them had matching hair–purple mohawks!

I smiled and said, “Hello. This must be your son.”

He said, “Yes it is.”

I picked up one of our little tracts entitled, Promises for Fathers. “Here is something that might interest you. It’s a pamphlet full of promises from God to fathers like you.”

He immediately let out a loud scream, as if terrified!  “Noooo!” He ran away screaming at the top of his lungs, pulling his little son behind him.

We stood dumbfounded, watching him scream as he ran. Our group immediately went into prayer, “Lord God, He is afraid of You. Or perhaps there are demons indwelling him who are afraid. We plead the blood of Jesus over this man. Bring him to Jesus.  Protect his son from the evil one.  Save them in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

  • Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.    Matthew 10:1
  •  For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves   Colossians 1:13
  • Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.              James 4:7

About Kathleen

God delights in working through His people as they submit to Him. Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone (Mark 16:15). No matter where we live on this planet, people are separated from God because of sin. We ALL need a Savior, and there’s only ONE. It brings me great joy to share Christ with the lost and lonely. Over the years I’ve learned a great deal while facilitating Bible studies. I’ve found myself on college and university campuses, the beach, the streets, the hospital, the jail and the juvenile facility for incarcerated teens sharing God’s message of love. I also serve as an online missionary with Global Media Outreach. I’ve seen countless lives transformed when people turn away from sin and turn to Jesus. The changes God makes are real and lasting. These are some of my experiences. NOTE: My stories have been altered, removing any and all identifying factors.
