I was walking on the beach and met a man sitting on the sand with his baby. Juan was waiting for his wife and kids while they played in the surf.
I admired his baby and then visited with him for awhile. Finally I asked if he had a faith background.
He said he would feel like a hypocrite if he went to church, because he’s done a lot of bad things in his life.
I told him that people don’t go to church because they deserve to go, but because they need to go. The Bible tells us we are all sinners, we all need a Savior—and there is only One.
He listened and asked questions. I could see his relief as he began to recognize that perhaps there WAS hope. He was interested in the tracts I had in my big pocket and said he’d like to share them with his wife. He gave me his email address so I could send him some Christian websites. One I later sent him is: www.whoisjesus-really.com .
He said he lived in North Hollywood. Could I recommend a good church for him there? I did an online search and found what I thought would be a good one for them.
I don’t believe it was an accident that we just happened to meet on the beach. Rather, it was a divine appointment.
“Thank You, Lord, for directing me to stop and talk with Juan. Thank You for touching his heart and giving him a desire to find a church with his family. What Joy!

I guess we all have a bit of hypocrite in us.
Amen sister, we do not attend church because we deserve it, we attend because we are thirsty for His message. You are a messenger, God’s message resonates in you. Keep up the good work.
In Christ, Roya
Thank you Roya. We certainly agree on this.
