Recently, as an online missionary for Global Media Outreach, I received the following letter from a contact in India:
Dear K, Someone put on me a spell of black magic to harm my life. I have been facing health problems and money problems. My business day by day is getting worse. Please tell me how God can save me from this curse of black magic. Your friend G H
Dear G H, You have written before and shared with me your love for Christ, and your gratefulness to Him for forgiving your sins and saving you. Therefore, I’m sorry you are unnecessarily concerned about a curse of black magic on your life.
If what you’ve told me in the past is true, then I have good news! Black magic is powerless over you.
Satan is the author of black magic, white magic and every evil spell and curse. However, when you belong to Jesus, Satan cannot touch you. The black magic cannot harm you. Jesus is protecting you against those forces of evil.
If, however, you have not been completely truthful with me, and if you have not truly given your life to Jesus, then you are vulnerable to attacks from Satan. I want you to go to www.godlife.com/gospel and make sure you have made Jesus Lord and Savior.
Then, if ever you feel Satan is attacking you, simply say, “Jesus is my Lord! Get away from me Satan! You have no power over me! By the power in the name of Jesus, I command you to flee.”
I then wrote out a prayer that G H could read and agree with–thanking God that curses are rendered powerless when we belong to Jesus; and that God would give G H favor with good health, wisdom and success in his business.
- Salvation is found in no-one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
- Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
