What is a Saint?

  • According to the Bible, a saint is a follower of Jesus Christ.                                              Romans 16:15,   1 Corinthians 1:2.
  • Scripture urges us to pray for the saints in Ephesians 6:18, not to them. The Bible does not instruct believers in Christ to pray to anyone other than God.   1 Timothy 2:5.
  • In fact, the Bible tells us that we believers on earth can “approach the throne of grace with confidence.”  Hebrews 4:16
  • We are to intercede for the saints in Romans 8:26-27 and help the saints in  2 Cor 8:4 and in 1Corinthians 16:1.
  • According to Ephesians 4:12, the work of pastors and teachers is to “equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”

About Kathleen

God delights in working through His people as they submit to Him. Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone (Mark 16:15). No matter where we live on this planet, people are separated from God because of sin. We ALL need a Savior, and there’s only ONE. It brings me great joy to share Christ with the lost and lonely. Over the years I’ve learned a great deal while facilitating Bible studies. I’ve found myself on college and university campuses, the beach, the streets, the hospital, the jail and the juvenile facility for incarcerated teens sharing God’s message of love. I also serve as an online missionary with Global Media Outreach. I’ve seen countless lives transformed when people turn away from sin and turn to Jesus. The changes God makes are real and lasting. These are some of my experiences. NOTE: My stories have been altered, removing any and all identifying factors. We are all saints through faith in Jesus. Through faith, all believers are covered in the holiness of Christ and therefore holy in God’s eyes. What wonderful good news this is!!
