Teen: I’m Ready This Time!

Another memory from my years doing prison ministry:

I had some precious teenagers that night at the juvenile hall.  One 17-year-old said he remembered me from the last time he was incarcerated: “You asked me then if I wanted Christ in my life and I told you I wasn’t ready.  Well, I’m ready this time!”

He was arrested just four nights ago and said the arrest probably saved his life.  He believes God brought him back for a reason.

“I believe God has His hand on my life, and I love Him for that. I used to think I wasn’t good enough to become a Christian—that I had to clean up my life first.  Now I realize I cannot clean up my life on my own. I need to come to Christ first and let HIM clean me up.”

YES young man, that is the ONLY way!

  •  Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us,  set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.     2 Corinthians 1:21-22

About Kathleen

God delights in working through His people as they submit to Him. Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone (Mark 16:15). No matter where we live on this planet, people are separated from God because of sin. We ALL need a Savior, and there’s only ONE. It brings me great joy to share Christ with the lost and lonely. Over the years I’ve learned a great deal while facilitating Bible studies. I’ve found myself on college and university campuses, the beach, the streets, the hospital, the jail and the juvenile facility for incarcerated teens sharing God’s message of love. I also serve as an online missionary with Global Media Outreach. I’ve seen countless lives transformed when people turn away from sin and turn to Jesus. The changes God makes are real and lasting. These are some of my experiences. NOTE: My stories have been altered, removing any and all identifying factors. This includes names and other particulars in order to protect confidentiality and anonymity.

Amen……yes, he saves us even from the most dangerous situations we put ourselves in – the most lowly of sinful lives – it is such a blessing when we can recognize this and turn away from our sinful ways of living! I pray God would be with you in your ministry Kathleen!
